Our grandmothers were all gifted in the needle arts. Mostly by necessity brought on by the Great Depression and rural life. The facination with needle work, especially crochet, embroidery and quilting (but we appreciate those hand knitted treasures also), now must be satisfied with finding the old patterns and passing them on to the wonderful handcrafters who can use them. We both are on a constant lookout for patterns, transfers and instruction booklets.
